Dear Son

I Recvd. your letter a few days Since and was glad to hear from you once more but am Sorry you are unwell and discouraged in mind some times about the way to heaven My advice is to pray to God and give up all your Soul and mind to him and look to him and him only for Protection Against evil and he will give you Faith in this world and happiness in the world to come We are all well at presant Noah and his family is well. Moffitt and Family is to (too) the last ____ we heard of E. Haden and Rebecca they was all well and Mighty well pleased with the Land and Country they are in they live Close to the Georgy (Georgia) line somewhere

You Said you could do nothing about jetting (getting) JACK but I am told by a greate (great) many that I can jet him for I haven (haven't) Sined (signed) any rite of mine away You wrote to me that if I wanted to Come back you would help me but I think I had better Stay here now as I am here and I know I could not Travel at tawl (at all)
