The minutes were read and approved. The Treasurer reported a balance of $5059.00 in the checking account and the Money Market Account has a balance of $14,305.37. CeCe Morgan expressed the gratitude of the membership for all their work. The event had a sizeable number of booths, but the cold weather deterred many from attending or remaining very long at the festivities.

Members are to gather photos to help in the selection for the ornament. The choice is to be made at the June meeting. It was also suggested that the High School might be one that could be ordered early for 2012 to sell at the Oak Grove All School Alumni reunion in June.

CeCe’s daughter donated a refrigerator to the group. Pat and Glen picked it up and it is stored in our room in the Vestal Building. Pat felt we had enough money to purchase the garage style door for the security it would provide for our space in the Vestal Building. Greg McLallen could supervise the installation by a professional. Barbara Lefholz made a motion to proceed with the installation of the door. Ike Church seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Another fundraiser, the Christmas Homes Tour, was tentatively set for December 3, 2011. Barbara Lefholz was to check with Grain Valley’s Historical Society to see if they were planning a Homes Tour as well.

President Pat Lewis wondered if enough members would be interested in a potluck luncheon this summer. If enough interest is shown, it possibly will be in July. Marge Morrison made the motion for the meeting to adjourn. Ike Church seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned.
