How Church's Chicken Came To Be

Here are photographs and the story of how Church's Chicken came to be. James Joshua Owings is buried in the George cemetery, his daughter Birdie married Fred Church. They gave the chicken recipe to Fred's brother who took it to San Antonio and opened the first restaurant across the street from the Alamo.
